What is Kangourou Sans Frontières (KSF)?

The KSF Math Competition is a globally recognized initiative aimed at fostering a love for mathematics among students. Originating in France, this competition is now conducted in over 90 countries, engaging more than 6 million participants annually. It is designed to challenge students’ mathematical reasoning, logic, and creativity through engaging and thought-provoking problems.

Who Can Participate?

The KSF competition is open to students from Year 3 to Year 12, with tailored questions for each grade level. Whether your child is a budding mathematician or a seasoned problem solver, KSF offers an exciting platform to challenge their skills and grow their confidence.

Key Dates for the KSF Competition

• Event date time for Primary: 26 March 2025, 4:00 – 5:30pm
• Event date time for Secondary: 26 March 2025, 4:00 – 5:45pm
• Registration Closes: 21 March 2025

Divisions:

• Middle Primary – Australian Years 3 and 4
• Upper Primary – Australian Years 5 and 6
• Junior – Australian Years 7 and 8
• Intermediate – Australian Years 9 and 10
• Senior – Australian Years 11 and 12

What is tested?

• 24 questions for Middle Primary,
• 30 questions for Upper Primary and all secondary divisions, all multiple choice

Online format

Note that calculators can be used only for Middle and Upper Primary Divisions of KSF
